Moving to Florida forced me to reinvent myself faster than I expected. No longer was I in Mississippi struggling to make $11.00 an hour. Suddenly, I was balancing life as a Social Media Manager, Author, and Photographer while adapting to a completely new environment. What started as creative passions quickly became goals and parts of my identity.

A lot of people only see the finished product online(or what I let them see): the edited photos, polished captions, campaigns, and creative projects. What they do not see are the late nights editing, planning content, writing chapters, answering emails, or questioning whether any of it is actually working and or worth it. Balancing multiple creative paths can be exhausting, especially in a world where people constantly compare success online.

Moving taught me that I should never be afraid of my creativity and should rather embrace it. Photography taught me how to notice moments. Writing taught me how to give those moments meaning. Social media management taught me how to connect those ideas with people.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that growth is usually quiet. Most reinvention happens long before anyone notices it. Sometimes becoming who you want to be is less about having everything figured out and more about refusing to stop creating while you figure it out. That’s what led me to get my internship, my new job down here, becoming a model, and more. I’m excited to see where my creativity leads me next.
